root SUP & Fitness offers a wide variety of fitness opportunities for all ages and abilities from our location in Shepherd's Old Field Market in downtown Leonardtown, MD. Classes include rootCamp, Yoga, and Aerial Yoga. We also be offer personal and group training, as well as hosting special events and workshops! Reserve and pay for classes online through our MINDBODY App. Private groups and events are by appointment only. Please contact us to find out more.

Circuit & Cardio Training
This class will alternate between several exercises targeting different muscle groups and movement patterns with a minimum of amount of rest designed to improve muscular strength.
Intervals of various intensities with longer rests using body weight, various equipment and stationary bikes will be mixed in to improve cardiovascular fitness.
Strength & Balance
Work on the strength of your core to help improve your balance! This class is for all levels! From beginning to balance post-physical therapy, all the way up to the elite athlete looking to improve body awareness and joint integrity. Everyone can benefit from improved core strength and more efficient balance! Please bring your own mat!
TRX/Core Fusion is a hybrid workout using the TRX suspension trainer, TRX Rip Trainer, Bosu, gliders and bodyweight exercises in all planes of motion to work your abs, back, obliques, upper and lower body.
Eccentric and concentric movements along with single arm/leg exercises will be incorporated to build core strength and stability.
Aerial yoga supports your body weight using a soft, cozy hammock. This provides you with the opportunity to perform anti-gravity postures, allowing for greater flexibility and more freedom of movement. The hammocks help to offer deeper and more accessible stretches. Aerial yoga can be a combination of traditional yoga asanas, inversions and strength moves, but you’ll always end in a delightful cocoon-like savasana. This rewarding class is both exciting and calming offering plenty of modifications to accommodate newbies and advanced yogis.
Please bring your own water bottle and towel to class.
