Cupcakes for Breakfast

Did you read that right? Why yes you did, I am whipping up some super scrummy oatmeal breakfast cupcakes and (because I like you) I am going to share the recipe. Morning gets a little hectic at my house, and of course my kids all like different things to eat so I am making it my goal this year to find some breakfast options that I feel good about handing them and that everyone enjoys. I was not sure how these baked oatmeal bites would go over so I decided to call them oatmeal cupcakes which definitely amped up the anticipation. I have found in the past that most clean recipes for baked goods tend to taste gummy or eggy and so the goal was to not use too much moisture and leave out eggs compl

A Surprising Tool to Help Your Child Thrive Though the Awkward Years

I like to be good at things. If I want to learn how to do something better, I research it and try to learn as much as I can so I don’t make silly mistakes. It has worked well for me in life, at least until I had kids. I have four kids, a pretty small baby, a toddler who is fast approaching her super fun second year (which I foresee being one giant power struggle) a six year old, and my first- my oldest- my sweet, smart, kind daughter who just jumped on the bucking bronco of tween-dom. By using the grill to cook your meat (especially burgers) the fat naturally drains away leaving the full flavor of your dish to shine. But how else can we

Turkey Taco Bake

Quinoa is amazing! Not only is it delicious, but it is very easy to cook. If you have never had it, it is a nutritious seed that is high in protein and fiber, making it a fantastic alternative to rice or pastas. My kids love it so I like to use it as often as possible. Lately dinner time is chaos in my house with a 3 week old baby that eats all the time, a not quite 2 year old vying for my attention and two older kids who are tired of being cooped up this summer and fighting like cats and dogs…. Normally cooking dinner is my stress relief but lately I’m just trying to survive and get something edible on the table….even better if I can prep it one handed. The only things I needed 2 hands for
